Region 12864 [N23W34] 220 was quiet until the end of the day when a long duration C2 event was recorded. A significant associated EIT wave was observed over most of the central western part of the visible disk. The LDE was associated with a CME becoming visible off the west limb at 00:36 UT September 8 in LASCO imagery.
