New region 13186 [N23E63] 100 rotated into view on January 9 and developed further on January 10 when it was numbered by SWPC. The leading penumbra has a strong magnetic delta with almost no separation between opposite polarity umbrae. Further M and X class flares are likely until the delta disappears.
